The present invention relates to negative electrode carbon materials for lithium-ion batteries, and particularly to a lithium-ion battery negative electrode active material, a lithium-ion battery negative electrode, a lithium-ion battery, a battery pack and a battery-powered vehicle. In a pore structure, measured by N2 adsorption and desorption, of the lithium-ion battery negative electrode carbon particles, by using the total pore volume measured by BJH having a pore size of 2-200 nm as the reference, the sum of the volumes of pores with a pore size of 2-10nm is 2-10%, the sum of the volumes of pores with a pore size of 10-100 nm is 30-65%, and the sum of the volumes of pores with a pore size of 100-200 nm is 30-65%, and the carbon particles has a BET specific surface area within a range of 0.9-1.9m2/g. The charge and discharge capacity and the rate capability of the lithium-ion battery prepared by the carbon particles are improve.
