PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lighting for a vehicle that meets technical and aesthetic requirements.SOLUTION: A lighting device 10 for a vehicle includes a light source 20, and a lighting panel 32 having a light emitting side 32e and a light reflecting side opposing the light emitting side. The lighting panel 32 includes an optical fiber layer having a plurality of optical fibers configured to emit the light along the length of the optical fibers. The plurality of optical fibers are arranged in a predetermined form such that the optical fiber layer has a first side facing the light emitting side of the lighting panel and a second side facing the light reflecting side of the lighting panel. A reflecting layer is provided on the second side and is configured to reflect the light toward the first side. At least one layer of the lighting panel 32 is an aesthetic layer selected for aesthetic appeal and being visible from the light emitting side of the lighting panel in an unlit state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
