To provide a UiO-66 catalyst, the particle size of which is modulated to be smaller.SOLUTION: A method for preparing a size-modulated UiO-66 includes: a first step of preparing a first solution comprising ZrClat a concentration of 0.15 M to 0.5 M; a second step of preparing a second solution comprising terephthalic acid at a concentration of 0.1 M to 0.5 M; and a third step of mixing the first solution and the second solution in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:3 and then reacting them, wherein the first solution comprises hydrochloric acid in an amount of 8 to 15 moles per mole of ZrCl. In the method for preparing the UiO-66, both the first solution and the second solution are prepared using N,N-dimethylformamide as a solvent. In the method for preparing the UiO-66, particles of the ultimately prepared UiO-66 have an average diameter of 50 nm to 400 nm. In the method for preparing the UiO-66, the particles of the ultimately prepared UiO-66 have an activity as a catalyst which hydrolyzes chemical agents, such as an organic phosphoric acid-based nerve agent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
