A wind generator blade state of health monitoring apparatus and monitoring method, the monitoring apparatus being mounted on a wind generator tower at a position opposite wind generator blades, and comprising a housing (1), an image acquisition apparatus (2) and a sound acquisition apparatus (3) mounted on the housing at a position facing the blades, and a central processing unit (4), a memory (5), a communication unit (6), a GPS and a power supply (7) mounted in the housing, the central processing unit being electrically connected to both the image acquisition apparatus and the sound acquisition apparatus and controlling operation thereof, electrically connected to the memory and performing data reading and writing, electrically connected to the communication unit so as to facilitate external communication, and electrically connected to the GPS so as to acquire a location, and the power supply providing power to a detection apparatus. The wind generator blade state of health monitoring apparatus is easy to implement on the basis of an existing operation platform, such as a smartphone; is mounted on a wind generator tower by means of a magnetic ring, making mounting and moving easy; and a camera and microphone used thereby may easily complete image and sound signal collection.
