The present invention relates to a method of repairing a cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) cable (10) wound on a stator of a high-voltage motor and damaged by insulation breakdown, etc., wherein the damaged part (1) of the cable (10) is removed. Therefore, the present invention avoids the replacement method that takes about 30 days to 6 months by rewinding the existing damaged cable to the stator, and introduces a restoration method in which only the damaged part of the cable is removed and then rejoined, thereby repairing the high voltage motor. As the man-hours required can be greatly shortened, more efficient facility maintenance is possible, and by performing the inspection process to diagnose the condition of the restored cable, it has the effect of guaranteeing the overall health and reliability of the cable.
