摘要
Blood flow rates can be calculated using diffuse speckle contrast analysis in the spatial and temporal domains. In spatial domain analysis, a multi-pixel image sensor provides specs in a sample caused by diffusion of light from a coherent light source that is blurred due to movement of scatterers within the sample (eg, movement of red blood cells within a tissue sample). It can be used to detect the spatial distribution of clusters. Statistical analysis of spatial distribution can be used to calculate blood flow. In time domain analysis, a slow counter can be used to obtain time-series fluctuations in the light intensity in the sample caused by the diffusion of light in the sample being smoothed due to the movement of the scatterers. Statistical analysis of time-series data can be used to calculate blood flow.
