PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical biological material capable of controlling a decomposition rate in a living body by preparing a homogeneous alloy even using magnesium and iron having a large difference in a melting point and a density and uniformly alloying simple magnesium having a too fast decomposition rate in the living body and simple iron having a too slow decomposition rate.SOLUTION: A magnesium and iron alloy is manufactured by preparing a homogeneous sintered body obtained by mixing a magnesium powder with an iron powder, alloying the mixture by a solid phase reaction using mechanical energy and sintering it.SELECTED DRAWING: None
