To evaluate stability of a foundation with elasto-plastic analysis properly.SOLUTION: A characteristic value of soil and rocks constituting a foundation is specified or estimated based on data obtained from surveillance of a foundation 2 to be drilled or similar data of a surveyed foundation (ST1), the elasto-plastic analysis for obtaining foundation stress intensity acting on the foundation by the numerical analysis method taking gravity acting on the foundation into account is conducted (ST2 to ST9), a balance condition between the acting stress intensity and gravity of a plastic region is determined from the calculated stress intensity distribution (ST10).
