HIGH POWER ULTRASHORT PULSED FIBER LASER

摘要

The high-power single-mode microwave pulsed fiber laser system is configured with a main console and a laser head interposed between it. The fiber booster consists of one active fiber extending between the main console and the laser head and thus serving as both an amplifying fiber and a transport fiber. The laser head is provided with a configuration that causes the redirecting pump light to propagate in the opposite direction of propagation and is coupled to the downstream end of the optical fiber booster. The disclosed laser further comprises a linear chirped fiber Bragg grating and an adjustable stretcher configured to controllably adjust the pulse duration of the signal light in the range of 100 fs - 100 psec. The chirped pulses are broadened by the compressor configured as a spatial Bragg grating.
