Method of sensing strain applied to structural color sensor based on camera and system for the same

Disclosed are a method for measuring strain in a camera-based structural color sensor and a system therefor. The RGB (red, green, blue) values for each pixel are calculated from the color image of the structured color sensor photographed with the camera. A hue value corresponding to the calculated RGB value for each pixel is calculated. Based on the relationship information between the color value of the structural color sensor and the magnitude of the applied strain, the magnitude of the strain applied to the structural color sensor corresponding to the calculated color value is estimated.
