The spatial filtering apparatus receives a signal transmitted from a transmitting terminal, and detects a synchronization start time from a transmission frame included in the signal. When the synchronization start time is detected, the user-defined sequence and at least one SRJBF sequence included in the transmission frame are demodulated, and a relative angle is estimated based on the demodulated user-defined sequence and the SRJBF sequence.
