The present invention relates to a method for producing an inorganic material containing whitrokite or hydroxyapatite, and to an inorganic material prepared thereby. A method of preparing whitrokite according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a mixed solution preparation step of mixing a first solution containing a calcium (Ca) ion supply material and a second solution containing a magnesium (Mg) ion supply material; adding and mixing the mixed solution to a third solution containing a phosphoric acid (PO 4 ) supply material to prepare a precursor solution; a heat treatment step of heat-treating the precursor solution; and separating and purifying the precipitate generated in the solution after the heat treatment step.
