Disclosed are a DRDoS attack detection method and apparatus for performing the same. A DRDoS attack detection method according to an embodiment includes: receiving UDP packets; performing packet filtering on the UDP packets to extract a port number, payload, and UDP length of the packet; and performing a pattern check with an attack pattern for the UDP packets based on the port number, payload, and UDP length.
