According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, there is provided a method of operating an electronic device for transmitting and receiving data through Ultra Wideband (UWB) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: transmitting a first ranging control message to another electronic device; transmitting a ranging start message based on the first ranging control message to the other electronic device; and receiving a ranging response message based on the first ranging control message from the other electronic device.
