The invention relates to a composition for its use for the prophylaxis of microbial pathologies affecting the growth of farmed insects, said composition consisting essentially of at least one strain of bacteria of the genus Bacillus, said strain being chosen from: - a strain of Bacillus subtilis strain NOL01 as deposited at the CNCM on March 14, 2012 under the number CNCM I - 4606, and - a strain of Bacillus belonging to the same operational taxonomic unit as said strain NOL01, or a mixture of these.
