Provided are a test assistance method, a test assistance device (1) and a test assistance program capable of reducing a test load and oversight of a symbol in a test for a monitoring and control system. A test assistance method comprising a step of acquiring an image before a change and an image after the change as images to be displayed on a monitoring and control system, a step of extracting a plurality of symbols in the image after the change having changed from the image before the change, a step of assigning sequence information to the plurality of extracted symbols, and a step of outputting a test image including the plurality of symbols assigned with the sequence information.
