The base station is configured as a secondary node for a wireless device having dual- or multi-connectivity to the wireless communication network via a master node and one or more secondary nodes comprising the base station. The method comprises: causing transmission of a message to the master node, the message comprising an indication that the base station is releasing resources associated with one or more layers of a radio connection between the base station and the wireless device.
