A loading and unloading apparatus and a detection device, wherein the loading and unloading apparatus (9) comprises a conveyor line used for conveying a workpiece to be processed; an upender comprising at least a first support member (31) and a second support member (32) arranged at an angle, the support member (31) having a conveying state in which the first support member (31) penetrates the conveyor line to take said workpiece on the conveyor line or place said carried workpiece on the conveyor line, and a transfer state in which the support member (31) is upended under the action of a driving force to transfer said carried workpiece to the second support member (32) or to the conveyor line; and an upender driving member (4). By providing the uppender, compared with loading and unloading by means of a manipulator and a conveyor line in the prior art, because the manufacturing cost of the upender and the turnover driving member (4) is far lower than that of the manipulator, and the space occupied by the upender and the upender driving member (4) is much smaller than that occupied by the manipulator, the manufacturing cost is decreased and the space occupied is reduced.
