Illumination device (10) for outdoor use, in particular ball lamps for use on soft surfaces, comprising:a base element (12) with a version (14) for the reception of luminaires (16); andA hollow housing body (18) with a recording aperture (20) in the outer wall (22), which is designed to accommodate the socket element (12), so that the socket element (12) closes the recording aperture (20) and a closed interior is formed inside the hollow housing body (18),where the hollow housing body (18) includes a first housing segment (24), a second housing segment (26) and a connecting frame (28), with the first housing segment (24) and the second housing segment (26), at least partially transparent or translucent,where the connecting frame (28) is reversible and non-destructive by means of a design and/or power connection connected to the first housing segment (24) and the second housing segment (26).
