FIELD: oil production.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a solution of polyacrylamide having an increased viscosity in comparison with the reference solution. The method includes producing an aqueous solution of acrylamide by means of conversion of acrylonitrile into acrylamide using biocatalyst having nitrile hydratase activity and containing microorganisms of Rhodococcus rhodochrous type, separation of biocatalyst from produced aqueous solution of acrylamide with producing an aqueous solution of acrylamide having optical density equal to or less than 0.6 at 600 nm, and following polymerization of the specified aqueous solution of acrylamide into polyacrylamide. The reference solution is a solution of polyacrylamide produced from an aqueous solution of acrylamide having optical density more than 0.6 at 600 nm, wherein the reference solution is produced by means of the same method without biocatalyst separation. The biocatalyst separation is performed by means of a disk stack centrifuge with a speed of supplied flow less than 600 l/h and a specific settling area equal to or more than 23.6 m2h/l.
