Drug delivery devices and systems are provided for delivering a drug into the upper urinary tract of a patient in need thereof. The drug delivery device 100 can be deployed directly into the renal pelvis through the ureters, bladder, and urethra of a patient, and the drug delivery device can be fully retained therein for localized continuous controlled release of the drug over an extended period of time.
