Various embodiments provide a system, apparatus, or method for communication of a plurality of transmit radio frequency (RF) chains and a wireless network including a plurality of transmit RF chains. The method includes identifying a set of measurements of a channel for a plurality of transmit and receive beams from a plurality of transmit and receive RF chains. The method also includes partitioning the plurality of transmit and receive RF chains into a first subset and a second subset. The method also includes initializing at least one beam in every transmit RF chain and at least one beam in every receive RF beam in the first subset. The method also includes identifying at least one selected beam among the plurality of transmit beams in all transmit RF chains in the second subset and at least one beam among the plurality of receive beams in all receive RF chains.
