The present invention relates to a mass damper (1) using a pendulum mass (3) and damping means (4) to reduce vibration of a structure (2), the mass damper (1) having at least three bearings (5) and , by means of which the pendulum mass 3 is movably supported on the structure 2 to effect a pendulum motion, each bearing 5 having at least one pendulum plate 6 having a concave bearing surface 7 . ) and a convex opposite surface 9 and a sliding shoe 8 movably arranged thereon.
