FIELD: treatment of water.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of water, namely to a method for purification of water from radon and radon daughter products. The method includes filtering the purified water through a sorbing material and washing the sorbing material with water heated to a temperature of no more than 90°C, collecting and sustaining the wash waters in a collection tank until the decay of radon and short-lived radon daughter products. After sustaining in the collection tank, the wash waters are therein purified from long-lived radon decay products by filtering through an additional filter containing an inorganic sorbing material in form of hydrated zirconium or manganese oxides.;EFFECT: proposed method allows achieving deactivation of wash waters formed during purification of water from radon and radon daughter products.;1 cl, 1 dwg, 2 ex
