To provide a biaxial oriented polybutylene terephthalate film good in tear linear property at least along MD of the film and excellent in pinhole resistance even under a severe film manufacturing condition such as high temperature or high shear.SOLUTION: A polybutylene terephthalate resin composition containing a polybutylene terephthalate resin, a polyester-based elastomer of 1 to 30 mass% based on the polybutylene terephthalate resin, and at least one kind of reaction inhibitor selected from a group consisting of a carbodiimide compound and a phosphoric acid ester compound of 0.01 to 1.0 mass% based on total 100 mass% of the polybutylene terephthalate resin and the polyester-based elastomer, is used as a main raw material of a biaxial oriented polybutylene terephthalate film and biaxially oriented in both directions of length and width same time under a specific orientation condition.SELECTED DRAWING: None
