The method comprises: acquiring a plurality of fingertip images corresponding to finger tips (S101): converting the format corresponding to the fingertip images to obtain a PPG signal corresponding to said fingertip images (S102): by means of a preset neural network model, extracting a heart rate feature and a heart rate variation feature from the PPG signal (S103); acquiring, on the basis of said heart rate feature and the heart rate variation feature, an emotional state index corresponding to the PPG signal (S104); on the basis of the emotional state index, and on a preset matching relationship between an emotional state index and emotional states, obtain the emotional state corresponding to the emotional state index (S105).
