Provided is a new application of POU2F1 as a new important target for treating fibrosis. Specifically, provided is a treatment method. The expression of a transcription factor POU2F1 is interfered by means of small interfering RNA so as to block the inhibiting effect thereof on a downstream gene, such that a multiple fibrosis inhibiting factor thereof in the downstream perform a function, thereby inhibiting cardiac fibrosis.
