A sight line estimation device according to an aspect of the present invention estimates the sight line direction of a subject using not only a target image showing the eyes of the subject, but also calibration information including both characteristic information relating to the sight line of the eyes of the subject when the subject looks in a prescribed direction, and true value information representing the true value of the prescribed direction. By this means, the sight line estimation device can estimate the sight line direction of a subject taking into account differences among individuals. Thus, it is possible to improve the accuracy of estimating the sight line direction of a subject.
