The present invention relates to a process for preparing oxide particles, in particular of metal oxide, coated with silicon oxide by means of the flame spray pyrolysis technology, of particles of oxide, in particular of metal oxide, coated with silicon oxide, and a composition comprising said particles. The present invention also relates to the oxide particles, in particular of metal oxide, coated with particular silicon oxide resulting from such a process, the compositions comprising such particles as well as their uses.
