摘要

This optical polymer material includes an alternating copolymer comprising a styrene derivative monomer and a maleimide derivative monomer, and has a nonlinear property wherein the photoelastic coefficient decreases down to a prescribed value in accordance with increasing the composition ratio of the styrene derivative, but rises above the prescribed value if the composition ratio of the styrene derivative is further increased. The composition ratio of the styrene derivative is within a prescribed range. Within this composition ratio range, the absolute value of the photoelastic coefficient is less than or equal to a first absolute value, and the absolute value of the intrinsic birefringence is less than or equal to a second absolute value.
