A method for rearing predatory mites includes combining a population of Neoseiulus reductus predatory mites with a population of Tyreophagus entomophagus prey mites, the predatory individuals being allowed to feed on the individuals of the population of prey mites. A feed substrate is prepared which is based on wheat bran or buckwheat husks or rice husks, or wood shavings having a particle size of 2-4 mm, which are pre-decontaminated and placed in a ventilated closed container, wherein the volume of the substrate is equal to 50% of the volume of the container, then mites are introduced into the container in a predatory mite to prey mite ratio of 1:5-1:50 individuals/cm3. The containers are kept in a room at a temperature of 21-25°С with an air humidity of 40-70% for 7-14 days, and the substrate is stirred daily. At the end of the cultivation period (7-14 days), the population density of the predatory mites is checked and if it does not meet the desired requirements, then a portion of the predator-containing substrate is mixed with a new feed substrate and Tyreophagus entomophagus are added in a predatory mite to prey mite ratio of 1:5-1:50 individuals/cm3 depending on the number of Neoseiulus reductus predatory mites used to start the new system for amassing predatory mites.
