Ready-to-assemble set of parts for barring a torrent to maintain a fixed level ford. The invention applies to mountain streams which have not reached their equilibrium profile and dig their beds with each flood, thus preventing a stable fording from crossing them. The assembly is installed in a provisional trench and comprises H-shaped posts (1) on a sole, separated by non-contiguous larch planks (9) and covered by a connecting rod (4) keyed on said posts constituting the permeable vertical wall of the structure. Since the trench is backfilled on said installed wall, sheets (3) are attached, constituting a weir which projects the water from the torrent downstream and prevents scouring at the foot of the device. This equipment makes it possible to maintain a fixed level when fording, which is the object of the invention.
