A method of managing a request for the allocation of a computing resource in a cloud computing system (1) comprising at least two computing centers (DC1, DC2, DC3) interconnected by a communication network (200), is implemented by an access device (20) allowing access of a terminal (10) to the communication network and determining a routing path (300) to a service address. The process includes: - transmission (E10) of the request (Req) to a first computer center (DC1); and - if the computer resource is not available, the retransmission (E11) of the request (Req) to an adjacent computer center which is next in the routing path (300), the retransmission (E12) of the request (Req) being withdrawn until either a data center responds that the resource is available or the request (Req) has been retransmitted to all data centers.
