Disclosed in the present invention is a self-adaptive steel structure cooling tower capable of resisting strong typhoon, comprising a truss system, a hyperbolic enclosure plate system, and a servo opening/closing system. Circumferential trusses and meridian trusses of the truss system are connected in a criss-cross mode to serve as a force transmission structure of the overall steel structure cooling tower, and have the effects of rigid rings and meridian ribs, so that the overall stability of a tower cylinder of the cooling tower can be improved, and the wind pressure of the surface of the tower cylinder can be reduced; enclosure plates of the hyperbolic enclosure plate system are mounted on the circumferential trusses by means of enclosure plate support assemblies; the servo opening/closing system is laid on the circumferential truss; a wind and rain sensor is mounted the circumferential truss on the top of the tower cylinder of the cooling tower. When typhoon rain exceeds a limit value, an opening/closing attitude of the hyperbolic enclosure plates is adjusted, so that the enclosure plates of the steel structure cooling tower during shutdown can be opened when the strong typhoon comes, the windward area of the cooling tower is reduced, the wind load acting on the surface of the tower cylinder is greatly reduced, and the strong typhoon resistance performance of the steel structure cooling tower is improved.
