Provided are a contour extracting device, a contour extracting method, and a contour extracting program with which it is possible to accurately extract a contour of a region of interest from a tomographic image. A contour extracting device extracts a first contour of a region of interest in a tomographic image between a first tomographic image and a second tomographic image by propagating the contour of a region of interest in the first tomographic image in the direction of the second tomographic image, extracts a second contour of the region of interest in a tomographic image between the first tomographic image and the second tomographic image by propagating the contour of the region of interest in the second tomographic image in the direction of the first tomographic image, and, if the difference between the first contour and the second contour in a third tomographic image between the first tomographic image and the second tomographic image is more than or equal to a threshold value, outputs an instruction to correct the contours in the third tomographic image.
