A method for determining the level of the geoecological state of a freshwater reservoir consists in taking a water sample with a volume of at least 50 ml of water from water samples with the bathometer, taken at any depth and in any season of the year, placing it in a cuvette of a multichannel spectrophotometer and determining the spectral transparency at a light wave length of 430 nm, then using the Bouguer-Lambert-Beer formula, calculating the spectral index of light attenuation at a wavelength of 430 nm (m-1); the value of the optical index of the geoecological state of a freshwater reservoir is determined as the natural logarithm of the obtained value of the spectral attenuation index. The level of the geoecological state of a freshwater reservoir (m-1) is determined by the numerical value of the optical index of the geoecological state based on the gradation: 0-0. 34 - low level 1 (LL1), 0.35-0.69 - low level 2 (LL2), 0.70-0.91 - moderate level 1 (ML1), 0.92-1.09 - moderate level 2 (ML2), 1.10-2.3 - average level 1 (AL1), 2.31-3.1 - average level 2 (AL2), 3.11 and more - high level (HL). ;EFFECT: extension of the range of methods to control freshwater. ;1 cl, 4 tbl, 1 ex, 3 dwg
