PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kind of directional optical waveguide, a directional backlight module and a display device, and in a field of stereoscopic display, a stereoscopic display pixel resolution R3D in a display device to which a wave optical type directional backlight stereoscopic display technology is applied. Solve the problem of low. SOLUTION: A directional optical waveguide (1) includes a time division multiplexing unit (3) and N layer optical waveguides (1N1) which have the same light emission direction and are laminated, and the optical waveguides of the respective layers. A pixel type grating (1N2) is provided on the light emitting surface of (1N1), and the time division multiplexing unit (3) is a pixel type which corresponds to a light source ray in a corresponding frame video time period in each frame video stream cycle. It is used to sequentially control the N-layer optical waveguide (1N1) so as to be introduced into the grating (1N2), and the light source rays introduced into the pixel type grating (1N2) are diffracted in the pixel type grating (1N2). Thus, a plurality of first-order diffracted rays having different diffraction angles and diffraction azimuth angles and corresponding to the display pixels are formed, and are incident on the optical waveguide (1N1) of the next layer. The directional backlight module includes a directional light guide (1). The directional optical waveguide (1) is applied to a display device. [Selection diagram] Figure 1
