To provide a hearing device and a method of wireless communication of data with different priorities in compliance with a Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) standard.SOLUTION: A method of wireless transmission of data sets by a hearing aid (a left ear hearing aid 10L and a right ear hearing aid 10R) provided with a transmitter (smartphone 50) includes: transmitting a first data set of a first data category from the transmitter for reception by a receiver in a first connection event; and re-transmitting the first data set in the first connection event if an acknowledgement of receipt from the receiver is absent, or transmitting a second data set of a second data category that is different from the first data category from the transmitter to the receiver in the first connection event if the acknowledgement of receipt from the receiver is present.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
