Modular measuring device, comprehensive:-a sensor module (11), comprising the sensor module (11)a sensor element (31) with a converter to emit a measurement-dependent electrical analogue primary signal; andA circuit assembly (21) for the processing of the primary signal and for the unidirectional communication of a digital signal dependent on the primary signal to a superior unit when the sensor module is connected to the superior unit in the measurement operation; where the circuit assembly group (21) has the following components:(ii) a signal input to receive the measurement-dependent primary signal;A secondary inductively coupled connector element (211) with a secondary coil to connect to a primary inductively coupled connector element (41) of the parent unit to receive an inductively transmitted energy signal from the primary inductively coupled connector element (41) and transfer a measurement signal to the primary inductive coupler element (41),(i) an energy supply circuit which equals the received energy signal and provides at least a DC voltage to supply the circuit assembly and the sensor element;(i) an analogue signal preparation circuit (212) to process the received primary signal into an analogue secondary signal;A digital analogue converter (213) for changing theanalogue secondary signals in a digital measuring signal,A modulator (215) to modulate the received energy signal by means of load modulation to transmit the digital measurement signal to the superior unit; andA microcontroller (214)for the control of the components of the circuit assembly, where the sensor module (11) has a unique identification number (IDN), where the sensor module (11) is intended to provide, in the case of a measurement data transmission, a communication framework containing the unique identification number (IDN) and the digital measurement signal, to be transferred to the parent unit when the sensor module (11) is connected to it, the sensor module (11) is not able to receive information from the parent unit, but can only transmit data; andthe parent unit to which the sensor module (11) is connected, the parent unit being intended to receive a digital measurement signal from the sensor module, and to calculate a measurement value based on the measurement signal taking into account the sensor module (21), where the calibration and/or calibration data are provided exclusively outside the sensor module.
