The invention concerns a test system for the examination of transparent containers to be filled in a filling plant, the test being designed to identify unstable containers with at least one wall thickness sensor equipped for this purpose, at least measure the wall thickness of a container to be tested and issue at least one wall-thickness parameter and an evaluation unit which is connected to at least one wall-thickness sensor and can be coupled to the filling system. The evaluation unit is set up to:receive from at least one wall thickness sensor at least one wall parameter and from the filling plant at least one container parameter different from the wall parameter and/or at least one process parameter, on the basis of at least one wall parameter and additionally on the basis of at least one container parameter and/or at least one process parameter using a test algorithm, classify the container to be tested for its stability and give an instability signal, if the container tested has been classified as unstable.
