A control circuit (20) with an extended bridge time is connected to a bus path (16) of a conversion circuit (10). The control circuit (20) includes a bypass circuit (22, 22'),an energy storage capacitor (24) and an auxiliary voltage circuit (26). The auxiliary voltage circuit (26) supplies the energy storage capacitor (24) according to an operating voltage (Vw) provided by the conversion circuit (10) with an energy storage voltage (Vs). If a bus voltage (Vbus) of the bus path (16) is less than or equal to the energy storage voltage (Vs), the energy storage voltage (Vs) is fed to the bus path (16) via the bypass circuit (22, 22'), so that the bus voltage (Vbus) is greater or equal to a specified voltage within a bridge time.
