The present invention relates to a process for removing the acid compounds contained in a gaseous effluent, consisting in contacting in the absorption column a gaseous effluent with an absorbent solution comprising water, between 20% and 28% by weight of pentamethyldipropylenetriamine and between 5% and 35% by weight of N-methyldiethanolamine.
