Method for generating tactile sensations localized on a surface and haptic interface implementing this method A method of generating a tactile sensation to be felt by a user (101) in contact at two distinct regions with a contact surface (110) of a haptic interface (100), including an operation of simultaneous emission of a first control signal for controlling a first actuator (120) and of a second control signal for controlling a second actuator (120), simultaneously with the first actuator, the first and second actuators being integral with the surface contact and causing displacements of said contact surface, characterized in that the first and second actuators determine a superposition of displacements of the contact surface (110) such that the displacements of the two designated regions of the same contact surface follow predetermined paths independent of each other. The method of the invention is applicable with the same characteristics in the case where the number of actuators is greater than two and in the case where the number of regions is greater than two, as long as the total number of actuators is greater than the number of regions. The invention also relates to a haptic interface (100) implementing this method. Figure to be published with the abstract: Figure 3
