A plasma arc-laser hybrid welding method for a high-leakproofness aluminum alloy thick plate rectangular cavity. The length, height, and width of the high-leakproofness aluminum alloy thick plate rectangular cavity in the present welding method are all greater than or equal to 350 mm; the material of a aluminum alloy tensile plate for the cavity is AL6061-T6; the plate thickness is 20-25 mm, adjacent plates are spliced according to the T-shaped or L-shaped plate positioning method; the welding wire material is 4043; and it is required that the height and width of a weld seam are greater than 5 mm, the quality of the weld seam satisfies GB12469-1990, and the ultimate vacuum of the cavity reaches 1 Pa. The present welding method greatly improves material utilization and processing efficiency, and reduces material and cycle costs. Compared with the methods such as laser welding and plasma welding, the present welding method effectively improves the welding quality.
