An air- and water-cooled high-power permanent magnet traction motor having a hanging structure, comprising a housing, a stator component, and a rotor component. The housing encloses to form a mounting space used for mounting the stator component and the rotor component. The housing is provided with an air-cooling channel in communication with the mounting space. The rotor component comprises a rotating shaft. When rotating, the rotating shaft drives blades on the rotating shaft to rotate, thereby driving the air in the mounting space to flow towards the air-cooling channel; while flowing, the air absorbs heat of a high-temperature area in a mounting channel and releases heat to a low-temperature area, thus balancing the distribution of heat between the areas in the mounting channel; at the same time, the air exchanges heat with the housing when flowing in the air-cooling channel, the heat carried by the air is transmitted via the housing and dispersed into the external atmosphere, thus implementing even cooling of the interior of the high-power permanent magnet traction motor, and preventing an uneven distribution of heat within the motor.
