The invention relates to the field of medicine, and more particularly to a method for the non-invasive stimulation of neuroplastic processes in patients after stroke. The method includes practicing the execution of cyclical movements targeted at reaching, gripping, transferring and releasing an object. Exoskeleton actuators are controlled by electroencephalogram signals from a brain/computer interface or by electromyography signals. The arm muscles are subjected to functional electrical stimulation (FES) using pulsed signals, wherein said pulsed signals are synchronized with the movements of segments of the exoskeleton. Visual modality feedback is provided in the form of the movement of virtual objects on a computer screen. The result is a broadening of the range of feedback modalities provided in response to a patient's efforts.
