The invention concerns a procedure for measuring the vibration behaviour of a drive train of a turbocharger of a power plant connected to an energy network, the procedure showing the steps: (b) influencing the field current of the generator using the inducer signals selected in (a) in such a way that: that mechanical vibrations are stimulated in the power plant turbo-set,(c) recording the stimulated mechanical vibrations, including resonance vibrations, by measurements of at least an appropriate starting size; (d) computing a transmission function from the originator signal to the output size measured in step (c) and (e) computing the transmission function from the generator torque to a desired output size using known T's;transmission functions from the inducer signal used in step (b) to a desired input size and/or from the desired output size to the output size measured in step (c) based on the transmission function determined in step (d).
