A control apparatus (140) is communicatively connected to a blood cell analyzer (110), a smear preparation apparatus (120), the cell image analyzer (130), and a transport apparatus, and is configured to: acquire from the blood cell analyzer (110) a sample detection result of a sample to be tested (801); when determining according to the sample detection result that a platelet abnormality exists in said sample, instruct a first transmission track (150) of the transport apparatus to transport said sample to the smear preparation apparatus (120) so as to prepare a smear (21) to be tested of said blood sample (802), and instruct a second transmission track (160) of the transport apparatus to transport said smear (21) to the cell image analyzer (130) so as to photograph a cell image of said smear (21). The cell image analyzer (130) determines, according to the cell image, whether platelet aggregation exists in said sample and/or estimates the platelet count of said sample (803). Therefore, platelets in abnormal samples can be detected efficiently and automatically, and manual intervention can be reduced, thereby reducing human error.
