PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating ground strength capable of probabilistically evaluating reliability even in a case where loading cannot be performed until the limit bearing capacity is reached. SOLUTION: A load-displacement relationship is modeled by using a wibble curve and a step S1 for measuring a load and a displacement at at least one loading stage by a flat plate loading test, and a plurality of load-displacements are set by setting a prior probability distribution. Steps S2 to generate a curve, steps S3 and S4 to obtain a posterior probability distribution by performing bayes update based on the relationship between the load and displacement measured by the flat plate loading test for a plurality of load-displacement curves, and finally.
