The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a composite comprising a sun gear and a planet carrier for a planetary gear unit, the sun gear and the planet carrier being manufactured as separate components and then joined together. According to the present invention, the two components are joined together by establishing, by means of deforming, a form-fit connection between the two components.
